Laura Linney, best known for her strong but weak characters, is among of the most acclaimed American actors of today. In the summer, while working in her father's company Laura Linney was captivated with the theatre. Later she attended Brown University she studied acting and at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. Starting her acting career on the Broadway shortly after her graduation, she appeared in films within two years and on television in the year after. She has appeared in innumerable movies, television shows and stage shows since. Throughout her career, she has received several awards. Some of them includes the two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. However, despite all the nominations and awards, her enthusiasm for theater is still there, and she continues to perform both in the stage and on screen.
