Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress known for her leading roles in numerous television series and for her enthralling performances in movies. She is popular on both Canadian and American TV. Emily first became interested when she saw her sibling Katie performing in a film. When Emily realized her love for acting, she began training in acting classes and went to auditions. At first, she was able to land a couple of commercials before being selected for the Canadian TV show for children Are You Afraid of the Dark? The show only featured her in only one scene and without any dialogue. When she was 15 years old, she made her breakthrough when she became part of the WB series Glory Days. Emily's talents attracted the attention of Greg Berlanti when the show was cancelled after just nine episodes. He subsequently cast Emily as a character on Everwood the new television show. Emily can also be a professional dancer, a photographer and was named as one of Teen's top 20 actors. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked her as number 51.
